Whenever we're asked to recommend a bag, I'll never hesitate to recommend a Domke.
Domke bags and straps are made of tough canvas, with metal hardware and quality fittings all around. They wear wonderfully, and they're machine-washable if things get a bit too messy.

Domke's Gripper Straps are 2" wide canvas straps with non-slip rubber thread woven into the fabric, metal swivel hardware and "Quick Release" buckles. For those worried about quick releases in general: The Gripper Strap's metal buckles are a cut above what you'd find on your average strap, and they're not about to release unless you want them to.
